Precautions:

Amoxicillin 250mg Clavulanic Acid 31.25/5ml Powder For Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, can occur, especially in those with a history of such allergies. It is contraindicated in patients with suspected infectious mononucleosis, as it can cause a morbilliform rash. The medication may also cause liver issues, particularly in elderly or male patients, and can lead to antibiotic-associated colitis or overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms.

Renal impairment requires dose adjustments, and prolonged high-dose use may cause crystalluria. Concomitant use with allopurinol increases the risk of allergic skin reactions. Prolonged therapy should include regular monitoring of liver, renal, and hematopoietic functions. Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid may affect certain diagnostic tests, leading to false positives for glucose or Aspergillus infections.
